Imagine and make your reality

Posted on

Randy and I went to Dallas, TX last week for GoGlobal Health Coach training.  It was an incredible event!  We learned so much, on how to be better coaches for our clients and how to help our teams support more people better also.

Its so cool to be at an event like this, surrounded by 1000+ like-minded people who ARE getting America healthy.

Dr. Wayne Andersen – cofounder of Take Shape For Life, is releasing a new book the first of June about the power of our mind in getting healthy.  I am so thankful he is coming out with this book.  We now know what we need to do to get our bodies healthy, but without the mind we either wont get there, or wont stay there.  Our mind can make or break us.

I struggle with my mind.  I think that I know what I want in life, but I allow so many doubts to take control of me.  I believe it, but not really.  I want it, but don’t really think it can happen.

THIS KIND OF THINKING IS DOOMED FOR FAILURE.

The past year and a half have not only been a transformation of my body, but my mind also.  I never believed that having a healthy body was going to be possible.  Thankfully I didn’t have to believe it while I was shrinking, but in order to keep it I have to believe it.  I have to realize that this CAN happen, that I AM the healthy person I want to be.  I will do what it takes to keep myself healthy.

I am declaring to myself and asking my clients to declare to themselves that I am going to be HEALTHY, that I am the ROLE MODEL I want to be for others, that I will be the HEALTH COACH my clients and my coaches deserve.

I got to hear Kim Fiske speak at the training in Dallas on our minds.  She is such an incredible woman and has a passion for seeing people grow.  Listen to her video, get inspired and believe in yourself!

About Katie Matheny

I am a teacher by day, and a wanna-be chef by night. I teach art and Spanish at a small school in Salem, Oregon to a fantastic group of soon-to-be world changers. I've loved cooking since I was a kid, and day dreamed while reading Betty Crocker's giant cookbooks. They were my picture books! I also work with a local non-profit that is doing some amazing things in Haiti. I have an amazing husband who I love to pieces. I love and serve Jesus, my King, and am striving to be a better example of who He is in myself. This is my life, in a few short words every-so-often. I hope you enjoy.
